Explore NEI’s virtual reality experience to see what life might look like with vision loss from age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.
AMD causes blurriness or spots in the center of your vision. And when you have a cataract, the lens of your eye gets cloudy — it’s almost like you’re looking through dusty glass.
To access the experience: Select an eye disease (AMD or cataracts), choose your scene (grocery store and city street at night), and press the trigger to activate the eye disease overlay.
